Responsibilities

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is what is referred to as a "Full Service" Sheriff's Office under Ohio Statute charged with:

• The responsibility of maintaining public peace and protecting lives and property of Hamilton County citizens

• Operation of the county correction facilities

• Serving the courts

Divisions

The Sheriff's office basically performs these responsibilities through four major divisions, comprised of: 

• Corrections

• Court Services

• Patrol

• Records Division

• Several Special Service Units
